Delagate Dywer, I have not been intensely gneaged in politics over the past years, but do have a strong interest in government administration. I have voted regularly in elections and do voice my opinion to family, friends and business associates. I own a business headquartered in AA County and expect to build several buildings here to give more permanent facilities for the 600-800 people expected to be employed by my business here in the county over the next 5-7 years. With the Gay Marriage bill recently passed, I am increasingly concerned about the direction our society is taking in altering the fundamentals of the backbone of our society. Please let me know what I can do to assist you in your defense of marriage being defined as between a man and a woman. I do not hate homosexuals but do beleive their lifestyle is not only unhealthy in many ways, but also is sinful ( which most unhealthy habits are) . So hating the sin and loving the sinner is what I support. Please let me know what I can do here to support your efforts. Thank you.
Marriage is a civil right, not a religious metatr. There are protections that a civil marriage offers. Gay people pay taxes like everyone else. You cannot legislate from a Bible. Not everyone is Christian. There are MANY religions in this state, and many people that do NOT follow religions. There are elderly and infertile couples that marry all the time. Would you prevent them from getting married? It’s amazing how hateful religious people who claim to love everyone are. Preventing this law from allowing all to be equal is the wrong thing to do.
