Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and we have so much to be thankful for! I am so thankful for my family, my wife and my 2 boys. Their unending support and love are always there, no matter what victory or defeat I may face. I included the scripture above not only because of it’s relevance to our holiday of Thanksgiving, but because I recently heard my 1st grader recite Psalm 100 in its entirety during the Thanksgiving program at his school.

I’m not sure what could be more moving and humbling than a class of 6 year olds reciting the Word of God from memory, and reminding us all to be thankful and to praise the God of the Universe! Many of us have so much to learn from the young and innocent around us. Their lack of inhibition, honesty, and unconditional love is just a glimpse into the Holiness and Perfection of our Lord. There’s certainly a reason that “Jesus loves the little children”!

I’m thankful for all of the amazing strides made within the Pro-Life movement this past year, including the increase in participation of churches and people throughout Maryland in 40 Days for Life, churches of many denominations coming together in prayer and action, and 2 new Life-Affirming Resource Centers opening within feet of abortion facilities! These are but a few small milestones within the Grand Plan that God is orchestrating right in front of us!

And I am so thankful for YOU! Your faithfulness and commitment to stand up for the weakest among us and to speak up for those who can not speak for themselves is seen by God Himself, and He tells us in the book of Mark, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours!” How’s that for a promise? Makes you want to pray right now, doesn’t it?!

Whatever your plans tomorrow, I encourage you to take time to Thank God for His blessings, His promises, and His love. And if you have the opportunity, I encourage you to have a child pray and give thanks to God…it will melt your heart. And if it can melt the heart of a sinner, imagine how it will touch the heart of the Creator of Life…

Can you believe it? The total number of lives saved during the 40 Days for Life Fall campaign has climbed to 732 – the most in 1 campaign – EVER! Of course we can…because Our Lord can do ANYTHING!

40 Days for Life has been instrumental in the changing of Hearts and Minds across the country, and throughout the world, towards a Culture of Life. And in just 2 days, we will focus on what can be done in Annapolis BETWEEN 40 Days for Life Campaigns!

If you are able, we encourage you to bring tools with you for the work day following the Prayer Service – gloves, rake, edger, trimmer, shovels, tiller, brooms, Windex, paper towels, handled scraper, heavy duty trash bags, hammers, nails, screwdrivers, levels, brooms, dust clothes, cleaners, drop clothes, paintbrushes, and whatever else you can think of!

We still need YOUR HELP to Get The Word Out! We have created a handout/bulletin insert for the event, and you download the Word Document or the PDF version right now. They are formatted so that there are 2 per page, to keep it small and minimize printing costs. If you are unable to download and print them, just email me right away and we’ll get you as many as you need!

We will also need help with setup and clean-up after the Rally. It shouldn’t be too much, but if you can help, please shoot me an email at michael@MDCoalitionForLife.com.

***Are you, or someone you know, in the “heating oil” business? The upstairs heating unit at APC runs on oil, and we need to setup a recurring agreement to have oil delivered to heat the upstairs. 40 Days for Life is now officially over, and the final numbers aren’t in yet, but there are already over 630 lives that have been saved as a result of faithful and obedient followers of Christ coming together in Peaceful Prayer, Vigil, and Community Outreach! Now I call that a Victory!

In Annapolis, the Fall 40 Days for Life campaign wrapped up with a BEAUTIFUL, evening candlelight Vigil on West Street in front of the Planned Parenthood. There were about 60 people there, and the Holy Spirit was present!

And now the 40 Days for Life is over…it’s time to make plans for Day 41 and Beyond…

The Day 41 and Beyond Rally will be held at the Boys and Girls Club in Annapolis on Saturday, November 19th starting at 10:30am. Pamela Palumbo, CEO of the Pregnancy Clinic Ministry will be there to update us on the progress of the Annapolis Pregnancy Clinic, which will be opening SOON, right across the street form the Planned Parenthood in Annapolis!!

We just confirmed today that MD Senator Ed Reilly will also be with us for this event, along with local Priests and Pastors. The Rally will kick off at 10:30am and the special “behind the scenes” tour of the new Clinic has been expanded! In addition to tours, there will be a special Prayer and Dedication Service, to invite the Holy Spirit to Bless and Protect the newest Life-Affirming Medical Clinic in Maryland.

Immediately following the Prayer Service, project “Operation Beautify” will commence! We invite the you, and everyone in the community, to come out and support the Annapolis Pregnancy Clinic as we begin preparing it to offer the Help, Hope, and Healing that the women of Annapolis and AA County need so desperately. We will be doing basic work inside and outside of the building, such as raking the parking lot, mulching, cutting & trimming grass & bushes, ripping up carpet & linoleum, etc.

Day 36 and 440 lives saved…I’d call that a successful campaign – and it’s not even over yet! As the Fall 40 Days for Life campaign wraps up this weekend, there are several exciting Closing Events coming up. We urge you to attend at least one of these events, and show your support for all the hard work, prayer, and lives that have been saved this Fall, thanks to obedient followers of Christ stepping out in Faith all over the country and the world.

• Annapolis Candlelight Vigil (candles provided) – Sunday night 6-7pm at the Annapolis Planned Parenthood
• Germantown Closing Rally – Sunday night at 7:00pm at Mother Seton Church
• College Park Closing Service – Sunday at 2:15pm at Metropolitan Family Planning

And Last, but Certainly NOT Least!!!

The Day 41 and Beyond Rally will be held at the Boys and Girls Club in Annapolis on Saturday, November 19th starting at 10:30am. And do you know makes this date even more special?? It’s National Adoption Day! We hope to be joined by Bethany Christian Services, which specializes in foster care and adoption, across the country and around the World.

We will also be joined by another fantastic speaker (we’ll share more on that in the next few days), and there will be a special take-home gift for everyone that attends the Rally!

And at the conclusion of the Rally (around 12noon), we will all proceed over to the new Pregnancy Clinic building, and get a chance to preview the inside…before it’s even ready to open to public!

There’s still lots of work to get it into “operational” shape, and ready to offer to the Help, Hope, and Healing that the women of Annapolis and AA County need so desperately. Stay tuned for more info in the coming days about how you can help with some of the cleanup and renovation activities – all part of “Operation Beautify“!
