Open Letter to Leroy Carhart

This letter came from one of the prayer warriors in Germantown…

Dear LeRoy Carhart, M.D.,

Every human heart is made for joy—including yours. If you do not have joy as the core of your life, then you do not really know God. I’m not talking about mirth, excitement, or temporary happiness. I’m talking about an abiding joy and peace that, in your heart of hearts, makes you glad you’re alive because life is precious and glorious. We are all made for that kind of joy. It’s the summit of the Christian life; it is life to the fullest.

Your life cannot be full of joy if it is stained with blood. Why? Because God did not bring death into the world. Death is the wages of sin. So dealers in death are employed not in God’s work, but in the work of Satan, the Accuser, the Deceiver, the Father of Lies. Death can only bring more death; it kills not only the body, but mortally wounds the soul of those who participate in it. God wants to free you from the bondage of death. He wants to give you hope and joy. But whatever you do to the least ones—the helpless innocents—you do to Him. You cannot be doing God’s work, because the work you do breaks God’s heart. What you do does not help women. Pregnancy is not a problem to be solved or a purchase cheap viagra disease to be cured. Pregnancy centers, free health care provided by charities, adoption agencies, and organizations like the Gabriel Network help women. Why can’t you help them without killing? Have you ever asked yourself that?

Every human heart is made for joy—including the heart you stop from beating by lethal injection. You cut life short before it even has the chance to find out why life is worth living. Think of your grown daughter. Is her life worth living? Do you want her to know joy? What makes her life any more sacred than all the others? Because she’s yours? But the truth is she’s not yours. She belongs to God. We all do. God gave each of us life and he called it Good. We have no right to take the life of any human being, no matter how inconvenient, even if it means sacrificing our own life to save the life of another. Life is precious. Your life is precious. Don’t throw it away while there is still a chance to redeem it.

Jesus died to give you life. But if you continue to kill, then you remain one of his unrepentant crucifiers—and nothing can save you from the death you yourself have earned by your sins. You were made for joy. Humble yourself before the Lord, recognizing your need to be saved from the bondage of sin and death, and that true freedom of joy and peace will be yours for all eternity.

Praying for you daily.

In the arms of Mercy,

3000 Stand Up in Germantown & Operation Beautify – Part 3

Last week was a momentous week for Germantown…for all of Maryland! But First…

Annapolis Pregnancy Clinic

Operation Beautify” in Annapolis is quickly coming to a close. We have some odds and ends to take care of, especially outside, before it gets really cold and the snow and ice move in. We will be meeting tomorrow morning – Saturday December 17th – from 8am – 12noon. We need about 10 people, so if you can spare some time in the morning (even just 1 hour), please join us at the new Annapolis Pregnancy Clinic at 934 West Street. Just bring yourself and some warm clothes…we’ve got all the supplies and tools!

Last week marked 1 year since Leroy Carhart started performing late-term abortions in Germantown, MD. The Maryland Coalition for Life, in cooperation with several local and national Pro-Life organizations, helped coordinate a Prayer Vigil and Press Conference to remember the 720 lives taken by Carhart in the last year.

Annapolis Pregnancy ClinicMore than 2100 people attended the event on Monday, December 5th! This was the single most attended event in Germantown so far. Faithful Christians from over a dozen different churches from across MD, VA, and DC attended, and there children and adults of all ages. One of the most gripping parts of the event was the 720 white crosses to signify and remind the community of the approximately 720 lives taken by Carhart. Check out the Pray for Carhart Blog site for some amazing pictures! And check out the MDCFL Video page for videos of the event and all of the Press Conference speakers.

Then on Saturday, December 10th, Cardinal Wuerl (Archbishop of the Washington DC archdiocese) served as the chief celebrant for a Mass at Mother Seton Catholic Church, which is right around the corner from Carhart’s abortion facility, and then led a solemn candlelit procession and prayer vigil over to and right in front of Carhart’s front door.

It was disappointing that NONE of the major TV news stations were at either event to report on the amazing presence, but there were a few local reporters and photographers there. Here are a few of the stories about the two events:

Now that the 1 year memorial has passed, we need everyone to consider sacrificing an hour or two Monday mornings, and come out to join us on Wisteria Driver from 8am – 10am to keep up the peaceful, prayerful presence – until Germantown Reproductive Health Services closes down for good, cheap viagra in uk and Carhart leaves Maryland for good! 1 Year Since Carhart Came

Germantown Vigil
Monday, December 5th is a solemn day, is marks 1 year since Leroy Carhart started performing late-term abortions here in Germantown, MD. We invite you to join us for a Memorial Event on Monday in front of the office park where he performs these abortions. The event will take place from 8am – 10am, will include group and individual prayer, 720 white crosses to signify and remind the community of the approximately 720 lives taken by Carhart, as well as a Press Conference at 9:30am. There will be no graphic signs at this event. For all the information, including directions, parking instructions, and event details – go to http://www.PrayForGermantown.com

We must stay vigilant and faithful to God’s call to be present for the women and children that are being victimized by Carhart and Germantown Reproductive Health Services. Some small victories are worth noting – Germantown Pregnancy Choices reported that Carhart and GRHS have been closed a full week in August, September, October, and November. Translation – Carhart has only been operating at 75% since the Summer of Mercy! And just this week we learned that the Maryland Board of Physicians concluded their investigation into Carhart based on the numerous complaints filed since he arrived.

While they did not take definitive action to prevent Carhart from practicing in Maryland, they did issue a statement which essentially confirmed that Carhart lied on his Medical License application and warned him not to do so in the future (but the letter will NOT be made public). Of course this falls short of what the Medical Board should have done, it does confirm that Carhart continues his corrupt and shady behavior, and that it is only a matter of time before a woman ends best prices on viagra up dead or seriously maimed by Carhart here in Maryland.

While Monday will be a somber day in Maryland, we must be encouraged by the amazing Pro-Life progress that continues to sweep across the nation. Just last week, 3 additional abortion facilities either closed down or scheduled their closure date this year!

On November 21st, the Michigan Attorney General’s office announced that TWO abortion centers — in Lansing and Saginaw — have been permanently CLOSED after they were found to be operating illegally!

And over the Thanksgiving weekend, we learned that Regions Hospital in St. Paul,
Minnesota is closing down its abortion facility! Hospital officials
admitted that abortions at their facility had declined
by 40% over the past few years, and that abortion was no
longer economically viable. It just so happens that this was the site of 7 consecutive 40 Days for Life campaigns! If we continue to persevere and continue to pray and fast, God will move, women will stop choosing abortion, and abortion facilities will close!

Annapolis Pregnancy ClinicIn Annapolis, Operation Beautify has been going GREAT! The work that has already been done inside and outside of the new Annapolis Pregnancy Clinic is amazing, and excitement is growing as we move closer towards the Official Opening of APC.

One of the greatest needs right now is to fill a full-time, paid Assistant Office Manager or Office Manager position. They are seeking a seasoned professional with a college degree in Management or Business, or significant experience in office management and employee supervision. Candidates should possess excellent written & verbal communication, attention to detail, should be able to travel and work out of 3 different offices, and be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite – including Access.

Anyone interested must be in agreement with the statement of Vision & Mission of the Pregnancy Clinic Ministry. To receive an application, email your resume with a cover letter to info@pregnancylinic.org.
