The Abortion Pill To Become As Easy To Get As An Aspirin

The morning after pill also known as the abortion pill might become as easy to buy as aspirin.

Right now women can only buy Plan B if they can prove they are over the age of seventeen.  Everyone else must see a doctor first. According to U.S. District Judge Edward Korman, the age limit is “arbitrary, capricious and unreasonable…” then ordered the end of the restrictions in thirty days. The Justice Department is deciding whether or not to appeal.  President Obama believes the restrictions are common sense.

“There is a real danger that Plan B may be given to young girls, under coercion or without their consent…”said Anna Higgins of the Family Research Council.  “The involvement of parents and medical professionals acts as a safeguard for these young girls. However, today’s ruling removes these common sense protections.”

Spokeswoman for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, Deirdre McQuade, said, “Plan B does not prevent or treat any disease, but it makes young adolescent girls more available to sexual predators.  The court’s action undermines parents’ ability to protect their daughters from such exploitation and from the adverse effects of the drug itself.”

It was the judge’s latest ruling in a lawsuit filed by the Center for Reproductive Rights and dating back to 2005 that pushed for unfettered over-the-counter access to Plan B.

The morning after pill contains a higher dose of the female hormone, progestin, than is in birth control pills. Its recommended use is within the first 24 hours of unprotected sex, but it can be used as late as seventy-two hours after the act.  Proponents argue that the Plan B pill cannot induce an about because it has no effect one implantation has occurred.  What they don’t say is that the super dose of hormones hardens the uterine wall so that the living embryo cannot implant.  The very early life is destroyed.

That Plan B prevents implantation of fertilized eggs was dismissed by Judge Korman as discredited though he failed to present evidence that the prolife position lacked merit.

Journal of Public Health Issues Pro-Abortion Article

“It Is Time to Integrate Abortion Into Primary Care” was published with little fanfare on January 13, 2013 as written by Susan Yarrow, an MSW, not an MD.  Her shortcomings to write medical literature become clear when reviewing statistics.  She quotes Hensaw, who literally wrote the book on making abortion a public health issue,  “Abortion is now one of the safest medical procedures available; only 0.3% of abortion patients experience a complication that requires hospitalization.”  The problem is; (1) Henshaw is only talking about complications resulting in hospital admission, others would be unreported here because they are treated in an office or treated and released (2) the documenting health care professional may not relate the event such as a secondary infection or a slow bleed, to the abortion, (i.e. the patient is in shock due to hypovolemia is a proper medical diagnosis as opposed to the patient bled out after an abortion.)

Then, Ms. Yarrow suggests that to fix the problem of doctors not being willing to kill preborn children, an invasive surgical procedure should be relagated to the confines of the primary care practice.  It never dawns on her that doctors may be refusing to commit abortion because by training and disposition, doctors save lives, they don’t destroy them. Nor does she address the facility inadequacies to deal with the complication of abortions, such as uterine perforation.  Yarrow says, “One in three women in the United States will seek an abortion before she is aged 45 years. For these women, restrictive laws driven by ideology, not science, are undermining the promise of Roe v Wade in many parts of the country.”  Where is the “science” behind Roe Vs Wade?  We don’t know when life starts.  We don’t know when a fetus is viable. Ms. Yarrow is right about one thing, doctors are adverse to malpractice:  it’s bad business for them, bad medicine for their patient.

“The cumulative result of these regulations, the harassment, and the lack of training is a shrinking number of sites that offer abortion services.” laments Ms Yarrow.  Again, where’s the science?  This is nothing more than NARAL diatribe, old diatribe at that. Where’s the survey of former providers where they are asked why they no longer provide abortions.  Former abortionist, Anthony Levatino, M.D., says, “I want the general public to know that the doctors know that this is a person, this is a baby.”  Former abortionist, Joseph Randall, M.D., says, “The picture of the baby on the ultrasound bothered me more than anything else.” There’s more but there are other points to be made.

If we can not get doctors who find their training and facilities inadequate to perform invasive surgeries in their office, lets get nurse practioners and physician assistants to do it.  The Board of Physician Quality Assurance and The Board of Nursing who dictate standard of care (the science and art of nursing and medicine) carefully dictates what these professionals can do.  It’s possible that the political climate could change the standard of care and allow nurse practicioners with specialized training and physician’s assistants with additional supervision to do invasive gynecological surgery, but the abortion clinics would run into the same problem they keep ignoring:  Former abortion counselor, Nita Whitten, says, “It’s a lie when they tell you they’re doing it to help women, because they’re not. They’re doing it for the money.” Debra Henry, says, “We were told to find the woman’s weakness and work on it. The women were never given any alternatives. They were told how much trouble it was to have a baby.”

In Technical Writing, this is called an Editorial despite the liberal sprinkling of scientific fact. If Ms Yarrow knew what she was doing as a writer, her piece would have been called an Editorial, just another volley in the proabortion polemic.  Science has nothing to do with it.

Severn, MD, September 13, 2012: Eight area 40 Days for Life campaigns will begin in Maryland and Washington DC on September 26th, starting 40 days of Prayer and Fasting, Peaceful and Prayerful Vigil at abortion facilities, and Community Outreach.

But before the 26th, these campaigns will all gather together for a united, statewide Kickoff on September 22nd at 10am. There will be 2 physical locations, in Germantown and in Severn, so everyone has access to a local gathering place.

The event will feature a live webcast between sites and speakers at each location, including viagra canadian pharmacy 40 Days for Life National Director and Co-founder David Bereit, rising Christian Music Artist Caitlin Jane, Bishop Rozanski from the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Father Leo Patalinghug from Savoring Our Faith, along with special video messages from Gary Bauer of American Values and Matt Maher (Christian Music Artist).

The Maryland Coalition for Life and the local leaders of these campaigns joined together to plan this event. “Bringing people together energizes everyone involved, breeds excitement, and increases participation,” said Michael Martelli, Executive Director of the Maryland Coalition for Life. “Instead of individual kickoff events, we got together to hold one giant rally for the entire state. Energy and enthusiasm grows exponentially as more people come together, so we are expecting a whole new level of excitement!”

With the closure of at least 3 abortion facilities in the past two years, new Pregnancy and Resource Centers popping up across the region, abortionists admitting a steady decline in patients, increased church and individual participation, and brand new Abortion Clinic Regulations this July, Maryland is turning away from its long-held reputation as one of the most pro-abortion states in the country. “The culture across America is becoming more Pro-Life by the day, and nowhere is that more evident than in Maryland,” said Martelli. “We refuse to allow Maryland to remain the late-term abortion capital of the world, and we will work to change that, one heart and mind at a time.”

Campaigns participating in this event include Annapolis, Baltimore, College Park, Easton, Frederick, Germantown, Silver Spring, and Washington DC. For more about this event, visit http://2012marylandkickoff.eventbrite.com/. For more about 40 Days for Life, visit http://www.40DaysForLife.com.

A Couple of Tragic Words…

For weeks, the airwaves were inundated with messages from Planned Parenthood warning women that this is a dangerous time, their rights in peril.  Then, with two words, one man turned the national debate on life purchase viagra online issues from abortion, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia and the threats to freedom of religion to a question that should not have to be asked:  Does rape really happen?  Worse than the distaction from national issues, is the wounding of thousands of rape victims who struggle every day after their attack with the lie that it was their fault.

It was not the politician’s desire to derail the pro-life movement and reopen old wounds for all these victims of a vicious crime.  He was caught unprepared by the question: What about abortion in the case of rape or incest?  People with the very best intentions can can cause the deepest hurts just because they did not know any better.

To love someone is to desire what’s best for that person and to take EFFECTIVE STEPS to secure it.- Pope Benedict

Warning: This is an Editorial about Chick-fil Appreciation Day

Everybody knows the story:  The owner of the Chick-fil-a chain of restaurants announces that he believes marriage is between a man and a woman.  The GLBT community turns him into their favorite whipping boy, demands boycotts against the fast food place and tries to keep them from opening new venues, and every news media outlet is covering the jeopardy the Chick-fila Corporation and it’s owner are in.  In response, like thinking individuals were encouraged to show their support for the owner’s belief in traditional marriage by going to Chick-fila on Wednesday August 1, 2012.

At lunch time, the Chick-fila on US Rt 1 and Contee Rd in Laurel MD is beyond packed.  The drive thru is backed onto Rt 1, the cheap viagra order lines for the counter go around the store.  At dinner time, it was a little better because state troupers stepped in and directed the drive-thru traffic into the strip mall.

You saw young, old, family, single, kids, Muslims, Christians, everyone was there except, of course, for the media…

MARYLAND PRO-LIFERS SUPPORT PREGNANT WOMEN BEFORE AND AFTER DELIVERY – LEROY CARHART DOES NOT

Germantown, MD, July 25, 2012: In February, a mother who was scheduled for an abortion by Leroy Carhart was assisted by Germantown Pregnancy Choices (an MDCFL office) and instead chose to keep her baby. On Monday, July 23, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy. A GPC volunteer was with her during the birth, and the Pro-Life community is coming together to provide on-going support to mom and her young children.

Another mother who was referred by GPC to a local Pregnancy Center recently called volunteers “…to thank us and let us know that she just gave birth to a baby boy!”

Also on Monday July 23rd, a woman who was 26 weeks pregnant visited GPC, where she described her pre-abortion “counseling” session inside Carhart’s office. When online pharmacy asked if she would be relieved after the abortion, she replied that she “would not be and that nobody would be relieved after killing their baby”. She was then told that Carhart could not do her abortion! The young woman made an appointment with a Pregnancy Center in her hometown to receive the on-going support that she needs in this very difficult time, support that Leroy Carhart does not provide.

In contrast to the support of local pro-Lifers, it was learned that two of Carhart’s recent patients were made to walk 1.5 miles from their hotel to his office, and then back again – for multiple days. This after it was revealed that Carhart has been illegally dumping medical bio-hazardous waste, patient records, and drugs in the business park dumpster since at least August of 2011.

Pro-abortion advocates frequently claim that they care about the women and children, but suggest that pro-lifers don’t care once the children are born. “Nothing could be further from the truth,” said Michael Martelli, Executive Director of Maryland Coalition for Life. “Not only do we refer women to Pregnancy Centers where they can get free counseling, sonograms, and medical services, but pro-lifers stand with women after the birth of their child. Every day we see examples of the community coming together to help with diapers, gift certificates, rent, and what may be the most critically needed resources – Time and Compassion.”

Embryonic Stem Cell Facilty to be Shut Down by Years End.

The University of Massachuttes announced today that it’s facilities dedicated to Embryonic Stem Cell development will be closed by the end of the year due to lack of funding.

According to the Boston Globe: “That decision in 2008 was seen then as a bold statement of support for research on human embryonic stem cells during a time when federal funding for work on the controversial cells was restricted. But advances in technology and changes to federal policies rapidly cheap cialis online made the bank obsolete, state officials said.”

One of the advances rendering the University of Massachuttes obsolete is the work done in iPS where the adult cells are turned into stem cells. These stem cells  have already converted into bone and other tissues.  There’s no moral dilemma, the science is already decades ahead of embryonic stem cell work, the tissues produced have already been quite successful and there is no rejection of your own tissue.
